Associate Membership of the Institution of Structural Engineers provided

(a) that election to Associate Membership has followed the passing of the Associate Membership Examination after 1st April, 1935, or of an examination accepted after that date by the Institution as giving exemption from the Associate Membership Examination; and

(b) that the candidate has attained a standard of general education which would qualify him for admission to the studentship class of the

Institution were he between the appropriate ages for this class.
